Dear people,

Sorry for the lateness of the update of how things are in Lafayette. Elder Paxman, new companion, has been under the weather all day long and we haven't left the apartment. Don't worry I had enough movies and study time, and a nap to keep me distracted. But he finally felt at least a little better enough to come to the boiler room which is a place in our apartment with a pool table, computer, fridge, basically somewhere you can go and hang out. But yes I have a new companion his name being Elder Paxman.

There are photos in the dropbox of him and some of our little adventures we have gone on so far. But now to stuff you are interested in.

Elder Paxman and I appear to get along together pretty good. He is a great guy, and good missionary, and I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with him for at least the next six weeks. He is from Riverton, Utah, comes from a  average size family of one younger sister and one older sister.

Well I promise to provide a more detail account of some of our recent exploits, and more about him next week but I will just sum up what this week has been.

I had to feel him in in all that we were doing in Lafayette, members, investigators and all that was happening in Frankfort. As a side note they did put a stripped pair of Elders there, one English/one Spanish so now Frankfort is not our area. I had to go down there and explain to him the area and give him supplies. Felt weird because I still feel like a trainee.

But then we had a slight adventure where we saw some windmills and decided to go check them out. For more info on that you will have to check out the pictures in the dropbox and the video. It was pretty funny.

On are way back home trying to visit a less active we stopped by the Tippicanoe battleground where there had once been a sizable battle between the US army and the Indian Confederacy. We only looked around but immediately decided that it would be a P day trip to check out the museum and grounds. He is actually a big history nerd kind of like me so we get along in that category.

I had to say goodbye to a lot of friends. Elder Smith, Elder Bromley the former Zone Leaders, and Sister Wilkinson the trainer. I wont lie was a little harder than I thought it would be. But that's okay because we have new missionaries in the area now. Elder Broadhead, and Elder Orft (not so sure about these guys), and Sister Marchant who is very giggly but nice.

But with everyone leaving and a new transfer starting it makes me sad in another way. These last winter months I had the guarantee that I wouldn't move away from Lafayette. But now that protection is gone. I could literally end up going somewhere else in April. I love this area and the people. But it makes me sad to think my time may come to a end here fairly soon. Then again Paxman goes home in June so the might just keep me here till then. But I am not sure what they will do.

Well sorry I haven't given a ton of details. I am on a short time schedule and I have to go. I love you and miss you all so much. Don't worry about me, I will return soon.
